So it begins :D Update 23: Kroxigors based :D

Awesome work on the Cold One Cavalry @Herr Pete . How do you maintain such great quality while painting so quickly? Are you a wizard?... be honest... sorcery has to play some role! :)

I'm glad my photos have helped you Ben. You will have a lot of fun with Lizardmen. Rare opportunity to make your Army bright and colourful without it looking out of place. I'm having so much fun with them and I've finally settled with Lizardmen being my army.

Wizard on an assembly line :p it's hard to explain actually, I just sit down and just start painting and only stop for tea and dinner haha Bastiladon will be built this afternoon :)
 
Plan of action for this week: Build and complete the Bastiladon. Move on to my 20 skinks and make them ready for action and then I will take an army photo of what I have at the moment :) I will then take some suggestions on where to go from there. I have some ideas but I would really love to hear from you guys. Another Stegadon and some more DE Cold Ones is down already but like I said I will be asking you guys :)

Didn't star the Bastiladon today as I've been rather busy and I'm off to see The Producers at the theatre tonight :)
 
Not being able to update with content makes me a sad Panda but here is what I have ready on the assembly line :)

Bastiladon has been built and ready to go :)
Little skink riders are all set too :)

Kroq-gar and his throne are ready for a little something later :)

Another Lizardmen Saurus rider for the every growing DE Cold one unit :)

A box of skinks still waiting but they will come later :)

Okay so I've been busy haha Stegadon needs a wash but I'll share it anyway. Managed to find more OOP riders but I forgot to order the DE cold ones in all the excitement haha ordered now though :) Kroq-gar has had his skin painted and glazed so I'll work on him tomorrow so there will be another update tomorrow :D yay :D

Nearly finished my warriors but painting more than 2 models at once is hell!!

How do people keep motivated?

Amazing work as always. The Bastiladon looks amazing (especially the skinks... which are superb!!). I think the gem needs a little bit more pop.

Cold one riders are great and the Stegadon has to be one of the best models you've painted... the highlighting and depth you've achieved on it is very very good.
 
Yeah I will work a bit more on the gem today. do you think I should head towards yellow or add a nice shine with highlights to the red?

I spoke to my pal who works at GW and from what I understand it Dwarfs the new Carnosaur which dawrfs the old one haha I think I will have to get it :P I'll need a box for it alone lol

Orange it is :) Should I use Ardcoat to give it a shine?
 
Some of my basing materials arrived. In the picture the pack looked small lol i thought it was for small models...turns out its huge and the foliage is huuuuuge lol should work with the Dread Saurian I suppose


 
Right I've fixed up the gem. Decided the red was just a tad dark and so I've changed it to orange which does stand out much more :)

I've looked at the Dread saurian from forge world as well, can you take a pic of the foliage next to a model please and also the name of the pack?
 
It's called 'Jungle Plants' They pop up on ebay a lot.

Okay so I decided to start my Bastiladon base last night as I was a little bored with DayZ.

I've never added water to a base before so this is my first attempt. I cut down one of the foliage pieces I got and added it with some tufts of grass.

Herr Pete you've done a wonderful job on that base. The entire model looks superb. How did you create the water?
