I do agree with that honestly. I did enjoy Last Jedi (preferred Force Awakens) so I can forgive it for this fault!
We did get that stunning scene with the hyperspace ramming, plus Yoda, so I think that makes up for it
I’m not hoping for a monologue in the film, all I’ve been hoping for is the Visual Dictionary to reveal all about Snoke.
Then everyone would be complaining that they're locking Snoke's backstory behind a price tag. We're Star Wars fans, we're always going to find something to complain about that means Star Wars is RUINED FOREVER!!!
They've done it with other characters like General Grievous, Count Dooku, e.t.c. - for example you don't hear that Grievous is a Khaleesh warlord who was betrayed by the Jedi in Episode III do you? There were some moments in Episode VIII I didn't like, but they haven't ruined Star Wars forever for me. Other parts of VIII made me have more faith in the sequel trilogy, and Rogue One revitalised my faith in the whole idea of 'Disney's Star Wars' after the nonsense that was Episode VII. People who think that particular things can ruin a whole film franchise forever just because they didn't like them need to grow up.
That's because it isn't Canon anymore. Grievous' backstory is a mystery again, much like Snoke's although people aren't complaining about it, which is interesting. They do seem to be the most vocal of internet fans. Star Wars isn't the only franchise plagued by this - the Transformers fandom, which I am also a part of, has it like that as well. The TFWiki has an entire page devoted to everything that has RUINED TRANSFORMERS FOREVER!!! - i.e. Everything. And then there's the nonsense with True Fans - if you don't like/dislike/agree with my viewpoint on x, you aren't a True Fan. It's a load of nonsense, and shows while fandoms can be great places, there can also be some absolute nutters rattling around.
Guess who has his tickets?... May 24th @7:15. I doubt it will dethrone Infinity War, but I'm still excited about the movie. It all comes down to how well they can pull off Han.
True... but when I start hearing rumblings of things that already had me worried from the previous films I grow a bit concerned. The earlier problems with director change doesn't inspire confidence either. No matter, my ticket is purchased and I'm ready.
