8th Ed. Solo Scar-vet against Chariots, 1D6 or 2D6 impact hits?

Quick questions, sorry if this is common sense but I thought maximizing base contact does not work this way...

Say my solo scar-vet on cold one got charged by a chariot, do they get a free alignment to ensure that my scar-vet is in base-to-base contact with TWO chariots, instead of one (since my base is MUCH smaller), so that they can lay 2D6 but not just 1D6 impact hits on me?
 
Yes; you must bring as many models into base to base as possible when completing a charge move.
 
so in theory, a skink priest would receive 2D6 impact hits as well, when being charged by a unit of chariots that is 2+ wide

that just seems so..... wrong :P (not questioning, just little funny from a physics point of view haha, imagining all the spears penetrating the poor tiny skink priest)

Say, lets assume 1 chariot base = 10mm (for numeric sake)
3 chariots = 30mm

If I have a unit that is 21 mm wide, they will always be, in theory, be in base contact with all 3 chariots?
 
One character can be in bases to base contact with up to 3 bases of equal size,
(corner to corner contact counts as well).

So if your enemy really wanted to be mean he could charge your SV with 3 chariots and mush him to bits.

You put your scarvets on chariot bases?
 
Naaa I said equal size, chariots are on 50mm x 100mm bases.

2 is the max for larger base sizes.

Oops, yah... I was imagining cavalry models for some reason.

But if you had two scar-vets as unit....
 
If they charge him in the flank they could get 3.

I lol'd! Good laugh in the morning. Yea, sure, I put all my characters on chariot bases. They make great unit fillers.
