Noticed this:

pg 22:

Pliodons -water dinos used as ferries
Voxosaurs - their screeches used as alarms

pg 21

Couatls - which we all are prob familiar with
Aranadon - mentions it's mysterious (No description)
multi-legged behemoths - i assume this could be basilisks
Thunder Lizard - says it towers over the trees, and it can swallow cloud banks, altering weather for miles and charging its own fearsome attacks

pg 43 (Ripperdactyl page)

Colossadons - says rippers will attack creatures as large as colossadons

hope FW gets a clue and makes some of these cool beasties or us in games with opponent permission :)

Agreed. I would get those.

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

Great mother Sotek, just imagine the rumours we're going to have when its time for the next army book, as if all the guff about Coatls this time round wasn't enough.

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

Colossadon 4 2016 or bust.

Edit: Although, saying that, Voxosaurs with Banshee attacks would be good.

Remember, when you read those Lizardmen 9th edition book rumours, you read it here first folks!

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

Pliodons - the first model to use the Sea Monster rule outside of Forge World!

I'm hoping for some kind of Slann barge on top..

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

All of these rumours are fake (or semi, they were all ment to be in this book..but we decided to be dicks instead) ..as head of bad concept design in GW I must bust your bubbles already...there wont be any of the above mentioned...we focus on pokemon from now on.

Venusaur done.......Mewtwo is coming up.

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

If mewtwo is cheaper than the Slann I'm there.

Voxosaurus? These new monster names are just terrible...

I agree. And Colossadon? Good grief they couldn't be just a tad more creative? Maybe they should stop hiring children to name their models.

Thunder lizard looks like the biggest ultimate beast for the lizardmen!

Image for example, this could be his size!

Thinking about his possible abilities! Bound spell with uranons thunderbolt? or a lightning storm forming above a enemy unit and killing enemies like they were thunderstruck! An ability to cover himself in clouds so you could hit the model harder!

And it's name is the best and aranadon sounds well

Good gracious, it has a temple on its back! and are those Carnosaurs at its feet? A table-spanning moving scenery piece then, probably with trooop deployment abilities and an UberThunderstomp.

Did you see how lazy they names beastmen..
Gor, ungor, bestigor, centigor, razorgor, cygor, Ghrogon.... anyone else see a key word in all those names

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

This thread has inspired me to make a Thunder lizard terrain piece

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

I've seen the large thunder lizard artwork before (original artist is on Deviant art I believe).

Would be awesome to copy that, but no rules to go with it, no game play and it would take forever to sculpt.

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

I'm dead certain our next army book is gonna have a Brontosaurus Dinosaur with a cannon on it's back just like on page 54 of our old rule book! ;) As well as at least five of those dinosaurs... I can't wait!

Re: Some ineresting dinosaur/creaure fluff in the new armybo

Some of the names do seem a bit ridiculous. But don't forget that there are dinosaurs called iguanadon, bambiraptor and gasosaurus. Also pelorosaurus was originally going to be called colossosaurus.

Anyway my point is that naming something colossodon is fine in my book. Voxosaur is pushing it though.

(And that thunder lizard pic is awesome)

Bonus info: Brontosaurus never existed, so it would be a brachiosaurus :D

*Sigh* Another page of my childhood, ripped out, shredded and used for toilet paper. I guess I should keep up with the dino updates a little better. :)

It's theorized that only 1/3 of current known dino species are in fact real... The rest are just stages in maturity. ;)

"Dracorex (upper left) and Stygimoloch (upper right) are not distinct dome-headed dinosaurs, but young and nearly sexually mature, respectively, members of the species Pachycephalosaurus wyomingensis, according to a new study by paleontologists from UC Berkeley and the Museum of the Rockies.
