Greetings All!
I'm an avid 40k player (Salamander Space Marines 3.5k pts) and have had a few skinks for the last decade until recently when... ~cue eerie music~ I cut their heads off to make cool conversions for 40k. Shocking I know but hey, can you blame me? They were old bow-weilding skinks anyways!!! But here I am, I recently bought the Battalion and Codex (er... Army Book?) and have decided I want to do Skink Horde Style with Krox! For painting I'm feeling like a natural (as in based on real lizards) approach is gonna happen. So far I'm basing them off Gila Monsters (if you're from the desert like me, you know how scary those little guys are but if not, they're red, orange, and black, about 6-12 inches long, will chase... yes CHASE... you for miles, and their jaws seal when they bite... oh... and they're poisonous). I really like the rules for the Slann but, given that I've never run magic of any kind (even in 40k), I'm curious about how they hold their own against casters of other races. Also, I've noticed that the Saurus are bad asses... Seriously, how do they hold up against... say... Beastmen?
Anyways, thanks for having a Lizards-only forum, it's a gift from the Serpant God!
