Blog Spawning legions

I can definitely see a market for this.

Nice base! If you haven´t already glued the carnosaur I´d recommend cutting the stone off the foot so the carnosaur´s stepping directly on your ruins. I just think it´d look even better. I´d also pin it for extra safety ;)

Don't have a pin vice and he is glued now

Live now on my Etsy:

I have added a selection of temple lava bases to my Etsy store. These are mainly geared towards kings of war but obviously can be used for different systems. If the base size you need is not listed let me know and I will be happy to help.

On a note for my blogs: pictures tonight happening as I hobby

guess who's back?!?!?!?

just bought out a local's collection. rough inventory:

2 slaan
something like 4 salamanders with handlers
something like 6 terradons metal
5 kroxigor mix of oldies and relatively new metals
45-50 skinks
30-50 saurus
8 cold one knights
1 scar veteran on cold one metal
2 plastic steggies missing parts probably
1 metal kroq-gar missing speartip
a whole bunch of temple guard/some converted saurus

all for $100

My issue is that some of these (specifically the temple guard and some of the saurus) look really really well painted, and I'm waffling on whether to repaint them into my scheme (probably will, but not sure)

also, I sent 130 mantic points to Ronnie Renton directly (CEO of mantic) and apparently have more mantic salamanders headed my way.

WOW... that is truly an impressive deal. Even just the 2 Slann are worth that.

first batch of old ones into the spawning pool (in paint stripper) to be reborn (repainted).

My hood gentlemen. As you can see, the metal lizards stripped successfully, but the plastics are not taking well.

I'm using LA's totally awesome degreaser to strip them. It has stripped plastic before, so I'm wondering g if I should just leave them longer?

I'd try leaving them in longer. I've had mixed success with LA Awesome, but I think it depends on the base paint and primer used more than anything.

I have zero XP with strippers. This includes paint strippers. Counter question: LA = Lord Agrinox? Or something else..?

LA's totally Awesome. It's a brand name of degreaser. Best stuff I've used to get paint off Miniatures by far.

As to the other types of strippers, well they are a moneysink unless you can make a motor boat out of them

Sort of surprised a "degreaser" functions as a paint stripper.

This ^ ?

not really. acryllic is water based, but if you think about it dried acryllic acts like a thick film over top of primer/bonded to the primer, which may have oil components.

Let the record state that before we bugged out to the family house to ride out the storm, I Max M. did finish a commission of 66 bases and make progress on my first kroxigor.

I submit the following as photographic evidence.

You sir are an inspiration to us all! :) You exhibit a level of dedication that only the mighty @Crowsfoot can hope to rival.

Good start on the krox. That's the same model I painted not so long ago (the only model I have finished this year).
