7th Ed. Spears and Handweapons

I managed to get a ton of Saurus Warriors for cheap modeled with hand weapons. But now with Ard' Boyz coming up and everything needing to be WYSIWYG, do the spears actually need to be modeled since it's only additional equipment and doesn't replace the hand weapons or, if so, do you really think anyone will care if they're not 100% exact?

you should have at least 1/3 to be legit for most events at a minimum the front rank i would like to see more

Yeah definitely the front rank should have them... Remember, they don't actually need to hold the spears in their hands, you can have spears slung across their backs or maybe even on their shields or 'stabbed' into the bases, and it is fine. Can also make a unique and cool looking unit.
