Well, if you directing all you attacks on the noble, any excess wounds would have been discounted. He would have won the combat.
You know, I also (used to*) play dwarves. And I also beat my High elf opponent on a very regular basis (or a draw in my favor). I switched to lizardmen for numerous reasons, but the outcome has only become worse for him. WIth lizardmen, I am able to massacre him sooo often... I agree with you on High elves. T3+expensive troops=bad. Dark elves compensate this by good magic item selection, screening (harpies) and fast cavalry to go for war machines. And Wood elves compensate this by hiding Challenge part = answered, I won't go into that. The Hunted *: I still own my 1.5K of dwarves. But I only use them as proxy for my lizardmen... The static play is just so boring...And the lizzies have M6 skirmishers, flyers, scouts, good infantry, cavalry, monsters, magic, psychology....pretty much everything the dwarves don't have! Movement phase makes the game, and since dwarves cannot move (much)-> they cannot make the game. Lizardmen can move and thus they can make the game (or atleast have a chance at it ).
