I found a good thread over on Lead Adventure Forum where somebody was doing something similar.

    Thread: http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=101046.0

    Here is a pic:

That foot-stomp Dino track is promising.

Would a snake arising from a pit or puddle be useful to represent something?

I found it in LAF's pulp fiction section; Tarzan, Interwar, Quartermain, Detectives, Dr. Jones, and such.

I found these on Roundtable-Bretonnia. Obviously tailored for Brets:

@Warden has probably seen them already.

I haven't seen these before, they look great! Lovlingly painted, and the frog (possibly a prince?) on his water base is a very nice touch. As is the headman's ax complete with a hapless peasant's head.

I saw these recently, built by Tancrede over on Warseer on his Bretonnian Log thread. He has some really nice stuff, though many of the pictures are missing now probably due to photobucket

Not unit fillers, but I really liked the heraldry on his old old wood elves :artist:, and his brigands/not-merry men! :lurking:

If you can find the thread on Roundtable it explains what each one marks. From memory: the shield = magic shield, the swords = hold the line, the frog was something to do with Morgana...

These ^ I can identify. They are a fighting unit from the Circle of Ouroboros, Warmahordes, Privateer Press. I dunno if they are stationary, or they teleport, or what in that game...but it is a forest themed faction that includes a bunch of stone & timber magic constructs, griffons, and wolves.

    They look great.

Me, I just usually keep abilities in mind and it works most of the time. I will try some cardboard markers though and see how those work.
For objectives I have built a few simple ones, but nothing like those above.
