    That's a real shame, I really enjoyed the books in that series that I read.

    Although, frankly, when I saw the preview I could tell that the maimed the story-line almost completely. It doesn't make ANY SENSE. The first book, by itself and with nothing changed, would have been a fantastic movie. Even with a novel young anti-hero type of character.

    Pfah.

    I’ve seen it...

    It’s bad. Like, really bad.

    It was just utterly awful, and not even in a “so bad it’s good” sense. Say what you will about Disney Star Wars, but while you may not like them, they at least had a coherent plot and actually made sense. That was apparently too much to ask here.

    I only hope it doesn’t put anyone off the books, because unlike the steaming pile of @&#* that is the movie they are actually extremely good.

    Most, though not all, of this guy's rumors and leaks turn out to be true.



    If true, this could be cause for cautious optimism. Even if it's true, the course reset might not be something we like. Even if it's an improvement, I don't think we will ever return to the glory days.

    We could get a return to the prequel days, far from perfect but watchable. Then Nightbringer would get more meme fodder at least.

    I cannot find the video clip of the Dimitri Martin Sketch. He had this ongoing gag where he would dress up like Leonardo Da Vinci in a period set piece then come to a really stupid conclusion.

    "By studying birds I unlocked the secret of flight."

    (heavily implies he's going to make artificial wings)

    (He then straps a fake beak to his face and jumps out a window a crashing sound is heard).


    If you are going to remake or reboot something, you have to know why it's good. Otherwise you get Ghostbusters 2016 which physically resembles the original but it doesn't fly.

    For Disney Star Wars. Episode 7 mostly understood why Star Wars was great, but missed on a lot of details. Especially Finn and Phasma. Episode 8 was helmed by a director who did care at all about the legacy of what he was working with and episode 9 was helmed by people who sort of understood why Star Wars was great, but missed a lot of details and were hamstrung by the poor foundation set by the previous two movies.

    If nothing else, I would get to see the Disney Trilogy burn. That is enough of a victory for me. Even if its replacement isn't very good, I'll accept the destruction of the DT with open arms.

    From what I've seen some of them do and others don't, but in either case it seems it wasn't entirely successful at that either, making it completely pointless ;)
