I can tell this was made by a fellow Briton (or at least a fellow loyal subject of the Commonwealth), because it portrays the British as the Jedi and the American Revolutionaries as Sith. I have no doubt an American would try to portray it as the other way around.

 

We could have avoided the green milk scene if he had been fuelled up by the power from Tosche Station Power Converters

 

If that's the case, then France & Spain = Rebel Alliance

Because Britain only lost the War of Independence because the French and Spanish came to America's aid, and only because they had perpetual grudges against us (if the French hadn't blockaded Yorktown, for example, we would likely have endured the siege), and the Rebel Alliance gets all the crucial stuff done in Episode VI - the Ewoks were merely a (irritating) distraction. Britain was doing well against the insurrectionists, but couldn't handle fighting those two great European powers, who were much more of a pain to deal with on their own anyway, at the same time.

As it was, the roles were reversed in the War of 1812, when America played Empire and tried to invade Canada, only to lose against an alliance of a small British force and a lot more Canadian Militia and Native Americans, all while Britain had her hands full fighting Napoleon in Europe. Canadians can be proud to know that they don't have to put up with the likes of Trump and Biden because they, plus Britain and the Natives sent America packing in 1812

 

But in the end, is it not the victors who pen our history?

 

Napoleon's quote is a good one that applies in a lot of cases (Romans vs Celts and Carthaginians, Spanish vs Aztecs and Incas) but it doesn't fit quite so well when the losers are not destroyed entirely, because Britons still exist to provide our own nation's viewpoint on the Revolutionary War, just as Americans still exist to provide their own viewpoint on 1812. When that happens, there is a mixture of history written by victors and the defeated that provide conflicting viewpoints, and thus more material for discussion and debate, than events in history where one faction completely destroyed the other.

 

Rematch?

 

I'm sure the remaining Imperial factions and supporters still debated about the Rebel Alliance.
