So did you not like Spaceballs, or did you not see Spaceballs?

Long ago, I was the last of my friends to see Spaceballs because I took Star Wars very seriously and didn't want to mock it. But I got over myself and also Mel Brooks said he can never make fun of a movie he didn't love. It's an affectionate parody. Like Galaxy Quest. Though I do think Galaxy Quest is better.

I guess Mel Brooks doesn't have a huge director's credit. There are only 11 on imdb.com. 11 sounds like a got, but given how old he is and how smart he is, that seems like not very many.

This is what I've seen. I am overdue to watch Dracula Dead and Loving It. The ranking is based on my preferences.

I saw it a long time ago and did not care for it at all. Then again, I don't really like the spoof genre in general.
