There is a long Youtube Video explaining it. But there is an evil conspiracy for why McDonald's ice cream machines break down so much.

Broken incentives. The TLDR is that the company that sells the ice cream machine makes more money on service calls than they do selling the machines.

I find that a difficult question.

On one hand, perhaps Heir to the Empire would be considerably more original and interesting than the soulless slop we actually got in Episode VII. On the other, I'd have just liked to see them wholly get away from the Empire in a Sequel Trilogy, they've had enough of a part in the story. I recently saw an AI-designed hypothetical teaser for an Episode VII set at the beginning of the Yuuzhan Vong war which would have been far better. Let the Empire die at the end of VI and give us an entirely new foe to fight.

Also I wouldn't have wanted to see a Trilogy where Han, Luke and Leia just become the pinnacle of society's leadership and the epitome of success, capable of doing anything and everything and continuing their reign of plot armour... they'd have to be killed off one by one to make it a suitably gritty trilogy, especially if they're to move over and make way for their descendants (who I hope would be properly fleshed out as flawed and realistic characters unlike their parents). Hell, Harrison Ford was getting fed up of Han and wanted to be rid of him anyway (there were allegedly plans to kill him off in VI which would have added a nice dark note to counteract the dumb Ewok scenes), probably why they killed him off in the real Episode VII.

Of course, Disney will never relinquish their hold over the Star Wars IP and would never let anyone try and retcon the Rey trilogy, so it's a moot point.

You're creating your very own story. Heir to the Empire has already been written...

You're in luck, the Sequel Trilogy has already given us that. Look how well that turned out. ;)
