8th Ed. Stoping a deamon prince using the lore of life

Is it possible to revive the unit champion using the lore of life spell atribute?

If so it would be great for mitigating insane combat lords
Such as a deamon prince for a couple of rounds, giving you the time you need to set for counter charges.

So, can you do this? The lore atribute says "a friendly unit within 12' " does this count even if the unit champion is allready dead?

I believe the attribute only puts a wound back on a model, so if that model is dead I would say no. Regrowth, however, specifically says it raises back unit command first. dont have my book on me though so not 100%

Only with Regrowth.

Also if you have the spell, any unit with champion will be able to tarpit the DP as long as you can cast the Regrowth spell.

This trick is easily used in a Vampire Count as you can feed him with just skeleton champions, or wolf champions.

Yeha, with regrowth you vould definatelly do it, the problem is that it has a very high casting value and the chance of changing a spell to get regrowth is very small but if you could just use any spell of life to bring your champion back yo life it would be amayzing that is ehy I was asking.
