8th Ed. Striking against Ripperdactyls and Terradons

Hi guys,

After reading the book completely i don't really know how it works when the enemy hits my ripperdactyl or terradon.. Are the hits resolved against the toughness of the ripper/terradon (Toughness 3) or against the skink (toughness 2), because you have to cause two wounds (ripperdactyl has 2 wounds) to kill the model

They are monstrous Cavalry, so you roll to wound against toughness of the beast
