Blog Suds 2021 Catch Up Blog!

So, I finally primed my Slann (in Corax White, thankfully it turned out smooth!) which will be going either infront of the Engine or in the center of it.

In my homebrew he has purple skin, i never said how much though, originally I was thinking the same as the marbled amethyst here... howevwr, scared thatd be too much of the same. Im also considering a marbed jade dominant skin tone with purple markings or stripes

What are thoughts? Any other combos that'd look good with purple? I was also considering pinks and reds

You could go for a brighter green or even a pale green, like a verdigris, on the slann working your way up from darker green shadows so it ties into the darker jade colors but still stands out, then add purple markings if you want to.

Indeed, I've been leaning towards green as the primary color. Thinking of starting with a light turquoise bath then going from there
 
Some progress tonight on Lord Ka’Rapixca!

Going for greens and purples I think he's coming out... ok. Definitely need to do some work on him, maybe a bit more dry brushing. Also debating between having him in front of the Engine vs Inside the Engine, at the moment i am leaning towards in front of.

Thoughts welcomed!

Slowly but surely we are getting there, working on Markings + Gold atm. Still some stuff to do, but I love his Thunder Lizard/Sauropod tat especially!

Thank you! This is my first Slann and have been wanting to do one for awhile :) I knew I wanted purple since lorewise he is blessed by Tepok.... and I feel like I don't see a lot of Green Slann... so here I am lol

I searched Ebay for awhile til I found it, I have messaged you with two leads, assuming you wanted to find one yourself?
 
Not so much a painting update, but more of a "Hey! I got a cool item i wanna show!"

I picked up this, near mint condition, old Lustria campaign book which focuses on the Rise of Sotek, when Engines of the Gods were introduced, etc. The art work is awesome, AND it shows how to make some awesomw terrain (Spawning pools, statues, and more)

Really happy I picked it up

Wow! Nice find! I've always wanted to play a campaign but I don't have enough friends who play WHFB :(.
