Originally i had the background orange but after talking to my girlfriend about it i decided to change it back to black, and wow the difference is stunning (thanks babe for convincing me if you ever read this!)

Slowly also outlining the armor, but i also still have work to do on the longhorns body also. So all in all... very much a WIP still.

For... said tutorial... do you want the same colors and how I did those or just a basic how to do the stripes? Gonna see if i can get a decent enough video possibly or maybe set up a time for a live video or discord thing?
 
Just built these two Lumineth models, not gonna start em for a little bit, but I'm debating on their color schemes. Part of me is thinking the blue color of my Dawnriders for the Ballista and the green theme for the Bannerblade. We will see, it is very likely that I'll instead do the Volcanic/Destruction theme20210712_000435.jpg

I never manage to have my schedule correlate with people on Discord. Which is why our Pathfinder thread doesn't go anywhere ( :( )

I am slowly working on the armor bits, though there is still some fur work to do.

For the armor im adding in oranges and red trim for the chest and leg armor, im essentially just rearranging my Vanari colors a bit. For the large gems that are yellow im going to work small crescents in until i reach a nearly white yellow to mimic a sun (as seen on the saddle fabric)

Great work so far, such a cool model. My one critique would be that the orange on the armour is too close in colour to the brown skin and fur of the beast and gets lost a bit.

Just a general question, if you could or wanted to do a discord hobby thing, when would be good for you? I only ask and press simply because I have a lot of time on my hands and and pretty wide open atm.

Thank you! Im definitely enjoying the process and really loving the model itself; a lot of different textures to play with. Definitely a favorite if not my favorite model (even with its flaws).

I was thinking with the orange to build it up from this base color (Jokaero Orange) up a couple shades using Troll Orange and Dragon Bright Orange with possibly one more including shades. It's very possible orange hust isn't a good color, but I want to try as uts a big color in my Vanari, definitely not a set thing though. What color would you suggest?

That could work, nothing stopping you from painting over it if it still doesn't work after that haha. It's hard to suggest a colour really because I know you have lore reasons for your colour choices. The most complimentary colour would be a blue or maybe a green blue.

No idea on timing mate. My schedule is a bit mad right now.

I actually almost did Blue or Green as both are a part of my theme ;):p lol We'll see what happens, I likely wont change it so drastically at this point, but if the orange indeed does get lost I'll switch it up a bit within loreful colors.
 
So, decided to try out a green gem instead of a yellow, and I really dig it. My wardens already have green gems on their shields so it already feels in place.

I still need to go back and work on the fur a bit, but I've definitely gotten carried away with the armor haha. For the fur I kinda want to listen the mane up just a tad in a few spots, I did the same for the High Warchief and it came iut pretty well. We shall see how it all works out, but im pretty excited about it.

The armor looks amazing, I love the gem in it. The green pops real nice against the orange and black.

Thanks man! I think it'll look even better ojce some gloss is on it, but definitely pretty happy with it. Ive been using the citadel gem technical paints, but wanted to get back into hand painting them; makes a world of difference if the time is taken for sure.

I love the armor, absolutely love it, still got lots to go tho
