"Sometimes even Gods fall, even the Earthquake must grow silent"

Putting base ideas to the test now... he's a heavy boy and has issues staying up though lol

My first idea, and original, was to have Kragnos's upper half laying in a pool of blood while Ti'lanka (the Elephant Giant's name) walks away from him

My other idea is Ti'lanka walking ontop of a hill with a spring/stream/creek coming from it

Any ideas for a base? Let me know!

Question for all of you wonderful people:

Excluding the Thunder Lizard, what unfinished project would you like to see finished by the end of the year? I have a lot of projects constantly going, and with 4ish months left in the year I'm starting to look and try to figure out which ones should take priority.... because honestly I love them all.

So which if you could choose would you want to see finished? Very curious! If there is a clear majority on one or two I am gonna try and focus one or both down

Thanks for the input! Can be from this current blog or even last years blog!

Thank you, and yep! So far only dry brushing & 1 layer of wash so far

Zenthial prime, and then Kindlerflame, Changeling pink & Wild Rider red for dry brushing with Kindler on the outside/ bottom and Wild Rider Red on top. I then did a very watered down Blood Angles red wash on just the feathered areas, then did a second wave of dry brushing!

That's a mammoth build you've come up with there... :D

Will he be part of the Hathorian army list? What inspired you to add an elephant into an army of bulls?

    And then there were two!

Began the second raptor as the first is in a pretty good spot. Going with heavy pinks on this one, with a slight tie into the first with a light orange combo drybrush. The first one I've begun the eyes and applied somenlight nuln oil tonthe non feathered spots! 20210728_215022.jpg 20210728_215010.jpg 20210728_215037.jpg 20210728_215311.jpg 20210728_113524.jpg 20210728_113454.jpg

I also got a fun new toy to help out with making terrain :D;)o_O 20210727_153510.jpg

Ha, thank you! Finally got the greenstuff to start the Mammothification

He will be, and also if I ever do a BoC army in that one also!

The Hathorian influences are wide, tis true, with this one I'm tapping into the Hinduism/Wooly animals of colder climates. So where Haset is Hathor/Vishnu + Longhorn combo, Ti'lanka is influenced by Ganesh, Mammoth/Mastadon + African Bush Elephant!

The Hathorians themselves (Haset’s creations) are Bull like, however Ti'lanka is an ancient foe of Haset & the Hathorians. From a neighbouring tribe before the Age of Myth, Ti'lanka and his people sided with the losing side in a long ago fought war. Now with Kragnos as a threat again, Haset who locked away Ti'lanka has unleashed him with a pact ajd a promise to return his people to him, who he thought dead, in exchange for his help and peace. Will the peace last? Who knows, but until then Ti'lanka, (pending cool title) fights along side Haset based on the promises made.

(Normally she controls him via an ancient ritual, binding him to her will)

Thats what i have so far as for the why, at least Hathorian wise.

As for BoC, i like to make sure my kitbashes can be used for as many things as possible, so i figure this can also be a Ghorgon. My BoC are from Hysh and so are slightly more enlightened than their other kin, also harrier. They believe that eating Lumineth empowers this intelligence, making Lumineth commanders, royalty and the like eagerly sought after.

And that is the basis for my BoC warherd and kitbash tie in lol

I weave a mighty quilt lol

That sounds like some great lore, you could use that as the premise for a 3rd Edition update where we see the Ti'lankans (or whatever you want to call Ti'lanka's race) join the Hathorians to take on Kragnos with some different units and a different playstyle, which can either be combined with the Hathorians in a combined Allegiance to cover a jack-of-all-trades approach or be used in a separate Allegiance to provide a completely different way to play the army.

Awesome that you're considering starting Beastmen, I'm embarking upon my own herd too (though for Warhammer Fantasy rather than AoS) and have got a Start Collecting Box to work on plus a special conversion I've been working on for a while.

That is a really nice tone of pink. They go really great together.
Any fluff reason for color difference? Male vs female? or Young vs elder?

    Great stuff.

Ooohhh, that is a nice kit to work with. I suspect grand scenery from now on ;) :p

This is exactly why he was created, to do exactly this over time ;) get out of my head lol. I'm still debating on how to use them or what to use them as, but definitely going to have Mammoth people/Elephant people eventually.

There is a race of elephant monks mentioned in the Lumineth battletome. My lore I'm thinking is that somehow they are the descendents of Ti'Lanka or somehow related, but Haset earased all memory of him. So literally no one but her and the Hathorians remember him from that ancient time (and no one after cause... well protected secret type of thing).

Yeah, definitely! I got the BR box + I had 1 Ghorgon already i hadnt built yet (some bits were used for my Living Mountain Shrine). BoC has always interested me due to Minotaurs and such, I just dont necessarily like that they're just naturally "evil"

(Speaking of elephant people again)Im think they may be more of a ranged based race? Where Hathorians are more melee? So giant bows, and i dunno what else yet. Still in major brainstorm mode!

Thanks man! Atm these two are females, was going to make the more feathered ones females and the ones with less feathers the males (females choose their mates, hence the feathers). Haven't built any males yet but im thinking a 5/4 split maybe? Undecided. Males are typically younger, at least in my homebrew for my tribe

And definitely! I have a fun terrain project already in mind
