Thinking of investing in some saurus heroes for use in the bloodclaw sharhost and leaning towards a Sunblood (love the model). How do people find the Sunblood? Already have some carnosaurs and looking to mix things up a little
Pretty much in every bloodclaw I take, the command ability is pretty great when mixed with others, and ferocious rage can give quite a bit of damage output .
The Sunblood is an absolute beast in melee, I love him. I've had it happen a few times where you start with 5 attack rolls, right, but then your opponent is making 6 or 7 save rolls (some of them for D3 damage). Pay attention to any 6s you roll !
The sunblood is absolutely fantastic, especially in the Bloodclaw. It's command ability is great and it is one of the best sculpts!
Looking at the formation, taking an old blood and scar vet on carnosaur, sunblood, scar vet on cold one and oldblood on foot the synergies could be really tasty!
Or use the terrain, I combine my sunblood most of the time with my warriors, giving them a lot of extra punch.
Great looking model! I run my Sunblood with a Relic blade to boost that 1 damage to 2 damage and those d3 damage rolls to d3+1. that one artifact almost doubles his damage output.
I gotta ask abot his ability: A Sunblood in full battle-rage is the true embodiment of the seraphon's savage fury. If the hit roll for One of this model's attacks is 6 or higher, make D3 wound rolls rather than 1. If the wound roll for One of this model's attacks is 6 or higher, it causes D3 Damage rather than 1. Should it be with all of his attacks? It says "one" of them. I would like to be sure about this for the time I would make an army with him as non-general hero.
I believe that is correct, I think hey worded it poorly so it wouldn't mean that a 6 means all 5 wounds are damage D3, just the ones that rolled a 6 to wound.
Right. But here's an example of what I'm trying to say: With the 5 attacks, you get 1 of 4, 2 of 5, and 2 of 6. Does that mean that you roll 2d3 cause you rolled 2 of 6, or 1d3 cause you get at least One of 6. The ability says if one of them is a 6.
I'd agree that this is more than likely what they meant. It just makes that elusive All6s combat phase that much more special when it happens (just believe, it'll happen one day)
I also re-read it after your example and still agree, that is in line with how other abilities work and also the most logical interpretation IMO.
