Like many of you, I take my iphone with me to the bathroom so I have something to do. This is how I stumbled upon a conversion scene that really has me interested. I started playing Fantasy because the lizardmen army were the first army to really grab my attention from all the armies GW and their competitors make.

People making conversions for the sunken city of Chupayotl, grab my attention in the same way. I've never done a full army conversion before, but this has me thinking. It'd also give me something to do with all my Dreadsea figures after i'm done with that game.

This guy had a great start with green stuff, then someone mentioned the Komodons that really got things going. After looking for higher res pics of komodons, I'm not so sure, but their accessories are right where it's at.

This guy has gone a lot farther with his army, and has several minis from different lines that would be great starting points.

That's incredible. Reminds me of a project I did years ago (back in 4th edition) for an unofficial cat-man army for WHFB called the Katrini (gives you an idea how long I've been at this hobby!) Anyway, those alternate lizard tails and heads are simply awesome - I wonder if this project ended up on permanent hiatus? Pity if it did, but I can almost understand - casting without a vacuum chamber or spin caster (i.e., using gravity alone) is a real hit or miss business. I'm so glad that my skinks are all done! Next up, custom Temple Guard <gulp!>
