At my GW in Grapevine, Texas, there came a bump that FAR too often happens to us Lizardmen players when we take Temple Guard. Very often we end up getting flanked charged due to being outnumbered, but I have a question. If a Temple Guard unit is engaged in combat by the flank and let's say all of the TG are wiped out except the front rank, can models in the flanking unit attack the Slann? Because in our rules it states that until we get down to....2 (?) Temple Guard that the Slann must stay out of the fighting rank. Thoughts on this?

Thanks,

well if im correct it says that until 2 TG are left the slann moves forward. i don't remember anything saying about moving into combat.

so if im correc t, then yes the slann goes into combat it your situation.

and that why you need razordons on the flank of you tg ;)

With that new FAQ, I must respectfully disagree with anything involving Razordons! Any other thoughts on this, people?

Completely agree, I can't see myself ever taking razordons over salamanders.

I run the TG with slann in the middle with a unit of spear saurus with a scar vet on both flanks.

Ok guys, don't hijack this thread now :P

I do not have my rule-book in front of me, but that does sound ok...(the "when im down to 2 i move my slann forward" part)
