Terradon models

I figured this was the best place for it since my question relates to the models themselves

I'm looking to use Terradons as Great Eagles in my (High Elf) Caledor army and was wonderring if anyone could tell me how many different Terradons are available. I've found pictures of at least 2 plus there is the special character one. But theres lots of other pitcures around on the internet of terradons that look different again to all of those

As far as I know, the only Terradons on the market are the two variants you probly saw plus the special character one. There are some older Terradon models that look different, however those are OOP and you'd be hard pressed to find some without spending and arm and a leg.

If you don't mind me asking.. Why Terradons instead of Great Eagles?

Actualy they are all over eBay and can posibly be found cheaper than new models if you shop around,
there where around 3 varites in 6th edition,
and about 6 varites of 5th.

Well Caledor is the theme for my army that I am currently researching for at the moment, I'm drawing on rather alot of different ideas for this army. But being Caledor the central theme is Dragons, Dragon Princes ect ect

I've decided to use the dark elf dragon shields for my spearmen and will make my custom shadow warriors out of mixing corsairs cloaks with archers bits, I really think provided I paint them in the right style it won't be out of place...

So for my eagles I'm thinking baby dragons would be cool; warhammer has a wise range of dragons available which all look like nice models, but none of them look as though they could ever grow into a High elf dragon... yet a Terradon does, it has the same shape head for one thing and a very similar shape to the body and wings. Also its a minor point but I have painted feathers before for a brettonian army and really didn't like it
