Hey guys. One of the main things that got me into lizardmen as a race (same idea with my tomb Kings, if I'm being honest) was the descriptions and images of architecture used by them. Hello even the forum icons, which look like idols channeling molten lava or something, look amazing to me.

One of the few things I've never put much time into in regards to the hobby is scenery.

Frankly, i'm not going to have room for w gaming table any time soon, and the stores I play at always have shelves of stuff.

However, two things have made me want to start doing at least a little scenery making.

1. I could always use a display board.
2. I could donate finished pieces to my flgs I enjoy going too (not the other one. That's my hole-in-the-wall back up in case I need bases and my main is out of the size I require.)

Does anyone have any tips for making lizardmen/ mayaincatec scenery?

Furthermore, are there any extant guides available?

Both of those sound awesome. Plus the extra practice you get making terrain will come in handy once you do have room for a gaming table!

Although not specific to Lizardmen terrain, the YouTube channel I linked below has a ton of amazing videos going over all the basics (and more advanced stuff too) of terrain building.

It's amazing what you can make with a little imagination, I made a tower out of coke cups.

I'm goong to finish my temple display board after the warlord challenge.

I will post regular pics with what works and what didn't, guides @NIGHTBRINGER posted the one I regularly check.

I also need to start working on a display board! So I'll be doing a fair bit of experimenting over the coming weeks... Like @Crowsfoot I'll probably leave it until after the warlord challenge.

"Lukes Aps" on YT is also good for terrain in general.
And if you don't mind German language I can also recommend the guys from Tabletop Workshop.

As for your specific needs: combine those techniques with what the others have posted already, there is some good inspiration around here, especially @Warden 's stuff.

That turned out amazing. I really can't believe you were to pull off such a spectacular job off, it was breathtaking. And it all started from such seemingly humble beginnings. Those are the skills I currently lack... turning an everyday object into something absolutely unique and stunning.

Pictures of this mystical tower?
