As shown in the new army book, pg 91, Temple Guard do not have hand weapons. This makes them unable to use the shield they have and always using halberds correct?

Just to clarify, they won't get +1 AS from shields while in close combat, but they are able to use the +1 AS against ranged attacks.

no i bilie its only from shooting as the halberd needs 2 hands to use
