8th Ed. The BEST close combat units in all of Warhammer ~BONUS MATCHES~

I think in Real-Hammer, whoever is playing Wood Elves is going to be having a major brown-trousers moment as soon as your flaming attacks monster charges your tree man and will roll resultantly crap! Thus ensuring the demise of the wooded one.

Fear of fire is a common phobia between Tomb Kings generals...

Poor, poor Treeman. He hasn't got a lot going for him right now.

O wow!!!
That is just sad... What did the trick?
The Witch Elves were struggling as well and barely manage to claim the victory.

Is it the low points value, and thus model count, to match the Treeman's points?

Both the Witch Elves and the Black Guard have low strength (S3 and S4 respectively). As such, they both struggle with the Treeman's 3+ armour save. However, the Black Guard are doubly screwed because they also needed 6's to wound the Treeman (S4 vs. T6). The Witch Elves also needed 6's to wound, but were still able to prevail because their poisoned attacks allowed them to get sufficient wounds past the Treeman's toughness of 6. If the Witch Elves did not have poison, they would have been decimated. Almost three quarters of the wounds they caused came from their poisoned attacks.

Thanks a lot for the explanation :)

Ouch. The Hammerers finally get to flex their muscles and strike at the same time as their opposition... and their results are impressive.

Treeman looked to be in a bit of trouble, but once the Choppas rule ended (soon followed by the Savage Orcs losing Frenzy) the Treeman clawed its way back into the contest and secured a hard fought Victory.

Treeman's attacks are magical so the Banner of the World Dragon did its thing. The only reason the Treeman was able to make some sort of contest out of it was the fact that its Thunderstomp is not magical, so it was able to slip a few wounds through.
