Ever looked at some of your earlier miniatures and just go "what am i even looking at?" I have begun painting a lot as of late, and i am getting visibly better and better, but now that i look at some of my earlier mini's, i think that they are a bit of an eye sore. I've been thinking about re-painting them, but it would just take so long. Anybody ever been in a similar situation at some point?

I have been there at least twice.
If they don't look too dire I leave them though. It is nice to see where you came from.

Edit: I also prefer something new instead of repainting something old.

I can't claim to be a painting expert, but some of my old stuff is starting to look... old.

I have. I keep them as a badge of pride. "Look how far I've come"

I have a couple of Lizardmen that I feel that way about. I really just can't pin down a paint scheme I like.

It’s progress and you should be proud of your early work no matter how bad you feel it is.

I look at mine and think that could be better but I won’t repaint old stuff unless it’s a model I love.

I also use them as waypoints to see the progress over...well...a lot of years...
