Necrons started as silent mechanical killers that could not be stopped.
Necron lore evolved to be chatty Tomb Kings in space that could not be stopped.
Necrons have further evolved to be Pretty Soldier Sailors who can not be stopped... On behalf of the Necron Dynasty I will punish you!

......nooooot sure what to think of these. That is a LOT of turrets... Looks like the one is a double-Land Raider with a baneblade turret... so clearly meant to be some kind of Baneblade equivalent, but that big one has to be some kind of Capitol Imperialis, and I just... that is a LOT of turrets...

    WARNING

    APOCALYPSE INCOMING!!!
    (tomorrow, to be precise)

    “RETURN TO DAMOCLES”

    Background

The crusade for the Damocles Gulf was launched over 2 centuries ago, to crush the second “expansion sphere” of the T’au, who were converting entire imperial systems in that sector. The crusade ended with a Pyrrhic victory for the Empire: tactically the Tau had been repelled, but some key worlds had held out and xeno technology had inflicted heavy losses on the imperials, who had eventually retreated to face a Tyranid threat.
With the imperial withdrawal, the Tau had returned to occupy the lost territories, sending an expeditionary force led by Farsight.
It was during that campaign that Farsight had broken away from the Tau Empire, founding the Farsight Enclave and colonizing the Gulf, always with the aim of pursuing the Greater Good. The Imperium does not distinguish too much between the facets of Tau politics… what matters is that the xenos are returning.

    Imperial Background:
The Imperium remembered that Tau technology was capable of inflicting a heavy toll.
Attempting again a Crusade, with the same methods as the previous one, could have had disastrous results. The plan was therefore to limit themselves to a less preponderant force, but much more elite: the aim was to crush the head of the xeno serpent with targeted attacks on single worlds, where the leaders were identified... which was quite simple, given the diplomatic activities that the Tau leaders carried out.
The gathered information was promising: in front of the "Imperial Sword" fleet, there was a world where it seemed the main xeno leader was visiting. The opportunity was too tempting, the attack order was issued.

    T'au background
The sacred Kroot village on the world of Te’qui’la was in turmoil: the Supreme Leader Farsight was about to visit them, to honor the pacts of friendship and to forge new bonds of alliance: the envoys of many tribes had gathered, and there were also representatives of the faithful Vespid and even of the Gue’la converted to the Greater Good.
It was a day of celebration and pride in having among them such an illustrious guest, together with his honor guard. But joy and celebration gave way to pain and anger, when the bombs began to fall like rain, catching the defenses completely unprepared and indifferently exterminating warriors, women and children....
In the insuing chaos, the first orders were launched. But everyone's hope was laying into the imposing figure in red and white armor, who was surely contacting the soldiers of the Enclave: would the battlesuits arrive in time to save their allies?

    (8 players.
Imperial forces: Adeptus Custodes, Iron Hands, Blood Angels, Sisters of Battle)
    T'au enclave forces: T'au, T'au, T'au, Kroot & Vespids)
