The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer II


this guy is undervalued. he does really good let's plays. I'm really enjoying khalida right now.

It's all about the Tomb Kings at the moment. I'm sure the excitement will wane over time.

What is the next expected/rumored release?

The game doesn't have anything going right now, no rumors or anything. There is the free-LC lord that's coming a some point, which is going to be a Lizardman. My bet it i'ts going to be Gor-rok.
 
There is also the rumor of shadow warriors for the high elves.

Two SPECULATED Lord packs:

The rat and the snake (aka tenihuan and thanquol)

And

The queen and the crone (aka alarielle and hellebron)

Far out rumors of dogs of war and araby are also out there

Mmmmmmmmm Araby.
 
It could be fun to see some of the armies GW never really expanded on, and made proper inot armies like Araby, Telia or amazon. I however feel like this could be a bit unrealistic of a desire, since Kislev is still a simple empire clone and if any of the none main armies should have gotten such a threatment, it would have made sense if it where them.
Hopefully they simply wants to wait until all main armies has been released. Maybe they don' want to offend any army fans, by putting effort into a non - main army, before their favourite(s) had been announced.
I am aware of all the fans of these non-main armies on the total war forum, though, asking constantly after Araby or Tilea or something else.

First, NO AMAZONS. They only had 1 regiment of Renown and like 1 paragraph of fluff in the Lizardmen book, there is simply not enough to do anything with them. Second, Kislev is not an empire clone as it is focused on fast medium cav, skirmish cav, flexible infantry, molotov cocktails, and bears. Thirdly, CA has to save Demons, Ogres, and Chaos Dwarves for game "3" so if they want to release more DLC races it kind of has to be Dogs of War or Araby.
 
What about Pygmies? Those were a cool idea weren't they? Ugh, Agh and whatever those were called. :D

Currently Kislev is an empire clone in the game, though. Which was what I were implying. However Kislev is a great example of one of the lesser armies, that has heaps of fluff and potential, Making them viable contestant for am army eventually. Again hopefully!
I'm not aware of any official army for Araby, I know Kislev had one in a white dwarf many years ago. So whether Araby has more or less fluff I cannot tell. It seems to me as though Kislev would be a very real option for additional factions along the way. If that' the same for Araby, amazon' etc. I have really no idea about.

Outside of the main armies, I'd like to see a general Dogs of War army and especially a Chaos Dwarf army!
 
I'm hoping that in game 3 we will see Cathay, Ind, and Nippon. I believe that Cathay appeared in the Throne of Chaos book/thingy and they had cool stuff like terra-cotta soldiers, brass Titans, and Kung-fu monkeys so that sounds fun.

But wasn' that beast men within Ind and nothing of the Ind faction? Neither Ind nore any of the other eastern faction as been touch on by GW in a very long time. I guess they have been mentioned in various of army books, from time to time.
