New Rerolling Ones video up. Seraphon vs. Maggotkin. EDIT: Boy, they kind of messed up the Endless Spells. Seraphon player cast ALL in one round.
The more and more videos come in, it’s pretty clear that we are in a much better place than we used to be. Let’s see what else we can think up while we’re all stuck inside
Yeah whoever that guy was who was complaining about us suddenly being bad. I am personally enjoying running amok amongst my friends hahah
the more and more videos come in, it's pretty clear that a lot of people don't know the rules of the game (or of their own army). still nice to watch them but sometime it's frustrating.
imho this is one of the sillier things, I don't think I've seen a single video linked on here where the first reaction isn't "well they screwed up mechanic X"
Kroxigors, Sauras ( none plastic foot heros, warriors, sauras Scarvet, and knights),Salamanders and Razordons, finally.... the Skink priests need more varied models. I'd love it if they had a Gobopalooza style box but they were just all different kinds of skinks. I just want all the finecast turned into plastic for larger units. I'm okay with some finecast heros, like the Sunblood is still a really solid sculpt and comes out decent. Kroak and Slann as well. Have yet to get an actual Starseer yet. I'm going to use my ol'Prophet of Sotek as one.
I agree. Of all the models in our range currently, the Kroxigors and Cold Ones are the most in need of updating. I'm actually having some models based on the Total Warhammer versions printed, I'm looking forward to seeing how they come out.
I imagine it's going to be delayed with everything going on. I recently sent in an email to Warhammer Digital about the multiple errors in the Azyr app, and their reply email was essentially that the information had been passed on, but everyone was working from home now so it would probably take a while before anything gets fixed. I know there are most likely different teams working on FAQs, but I would guess the same situation applies.
They may have some folks working on errors and communicating via online meetings, but they likely won't be releasing a document as of yet. Just means another week of them clarifying with one another to be clear to us.
well @#$% they killed rippers entirely and summoning is still dead. scaly skin got worse and the realm shaper still has the terrible problem. im not a fan of this FaQ
For those who want a summary: F.A.Q. changes: - parting shot command ability: can only be done after an enemy charges you. - Ripperdactyl chief's command ability no longer stacks, so he's now basicly useless given that this was about the only attractive thing about him - Chief on stegadon: the stegadon is now a proper mount, chief is the hero - EOTG: it now has a priest, he's the hero. The stegadon is a mount. The skinks are a crew. - Balewind: wound limit of 9 for the caster, so no floating troglodons. designer's commentary - Summoning: only 1 conjuration per slann/oracle, so unless you're bringing 5+ slann/troglodons summoning is dead as an actual strategy. If we want summoning we're better off bringing a branchwraith and a treelord... - Endless spells: you can still take "normal" endless spells. But not both variants at the same time (so you can take a bound purple sun, or a normal one, not both). - scaly skin doesn't apply to mortal wounds, so now that this apparently only works on "attacks" and doesn't work against mortal wounds it's kind of bad unless you're fighting against specific armies. - Casting a balewind while in our realmshaper causes you to move out of the realmshaper - Bastiladon save: natural 1's fail, everything else passes regardless of rend. And yeah I agree with @Erta Wanderer its massivly dissapointing.
the only good things i see with this FaQ are the things they didn't touch razordons still fire when they charge and they didn't nurf Salamanders. at least we now have confirmation on how the basti works to bad he is still bad
Basically, we have just been hit by a bunch of nasty nerfs. Ripperdactyls are bìpretty much useless. Scaly skin doesn't work agains mortal wounds (despite the fact that MWs are listed as "damage" and scaly skin reduces damage) the Sage's staff affects only one wizard. Summoning as tactic is dead. the only good thing is the bastiladon: the save cannot be modified to less than 1, so when at full health the basti will save with each roll of 2+, even against a rend -3
The ripperdactyl nerf is somewhat classic GW - take an expensive dial kit that LOTS of people bought multiples of, then nerf the one that everyone built and make the other one vastly superior. Same with EOTG.
