Ulthuan could also be a contender as a stand in for the UK, they are an island separated from the mainland. They are a major naval power. They used to have lots of colonies everywhere but their empire has been experiencing a centuries-long steady decline. A breakaway group from them is in North America and has eclipsed them in a global footprint.
Very true. I never considered Ulthuan's similarities to the UK. I always interpreted Ulthuan as being akin to Tolkein's Valanor. Which was heavily influenced by Atlantis and flood mythos.
False; Mostly True; True: in that order. The Empire is Germany in that awkward period when it was about thirty little Princedoms, duking it out over religion. The Reformation? Gilles le Breton was Warhammer’s Charlemagne (12 great battles and all). Bretonnia is France and England from the Angevin Empire period, which was Norman knights on both sides of the channel...plus graft in the mythical Charlemagne...plus add Arthurian everything. Exactly, Empire is Germany. Albion is close to Britain in geography only. (Or maybe geography and weather.) There are no Picts or Celts equivalents in Warhammer. The primatives of Albion were a grade of folk two levels below Pict savages. Sorry. And in the real world the Gauls-Celts invaded Gaul, Albion, Wales, Ireland, Brittanny, and maybe Spain. They were not indigenous. The Picts were shoved North into Scotland by the Celts, the Celts were Invaded by Rome, became Britons (who were later invaded by Saxons and so on...)
I am quite aware that the Celts were not the first peoples to appear in Britain, thank you very much. I wasn’t talking about the real world here, I was talking about the supposed ‘Canon’ that says Chaos corrupted the Celtic peoples of Warhammer Albion, that is, not Celtic Britain Albion in the real world, into the state you describe above.
Very stylized and well put together presentations on a wide range of interesting science topics. What makes the channel unique is the way they present the information. The videos are short, so it is definitely worth it to take a look for yourself and see if you like it. My explanation here doesn't do it justice.
Was that in one of the Chaos Army books? The one and only Albion booklet I have ever had or looked at had zero Celtic peoples on Albion...instead: Giants aplenty, sad grubby cave dwellers, and a few Wizards-Truthbringers-Emissaries.
Which one was that? I thought you kept saying that Be’lakor and friends corrupted Albion with Chaos energy to cause the people to become the ‘sad grubby cave dwellers’, and I assumed it was from that Albion campaign or something.
I have only read one publication about Albion. It was a booklet, not even a softback. Maybe 16 pages? 32 pages at most. It was released with the Albion Campaign. Sorry, that was Not I. That was somebody else [?] and I have no idea who... There was nothing in the booklet about Celts or Gauls. But There Was: A race of giants The degenerate cave dwellers Random Druids (well, one, from a Dogs of War unit...and Hengist was arguably a RPG Druid character more than a Celt) Wizards who were either Emissaries or Truthsayers And Fenbeasts! (how’d I forget those? ...for those there was also model) Horrid weather
