I played a game the other day against two friends (Idoneth and Kharadron) and I have to say there is no greater feeling than dropping a free carnosaur on the board in the middle of the game. The deepkin king slipped past my line and almost killed my Slann (came back with incandescent retrices with only one wound left) but on my turn I was able to summon the carno to deal with his king and teleport to the other side of the map. Other than that I dropped a razordon almost every turn so I could keep teleporting them behind their line to take objective and harass weaker units.

Yeah I can't wait to do the same. My personal dream is Dread Saurian on Turn 3, make your opponent weep seeing something that normally costs nearly a quarter of your army teleport into existence and starting eating their army. He even makes Skinks immune to Battleshock now.

Yes, but if the enemy is targeting skinks instead of the DS, that would be weird... ;)

Dread for 40... so painful unless you commit to full summoning, then its possible on turn 2 lol I would have killed for 30/36, but I get the rough math of almost 1 Conjuration point per 10 points of army cost

its really just for fun. but the picture to get a dread in turn 2 and make the charge is
one of the magic moments when the enemy will scream: "WTF just happenend?"

    :D

I have played two games so far and love the summoning :) I understand the financial situation though. I have a monthly budget and was in the middle of a death army but with the new summoning I am transitioning some of that $$ back to Seraphon which I thought I was done buying haha. For know I just summon the extra stuff that I have regardless of whether or not it is optimized for the situation. I have found that it is still pretty great. Also I love how aggressive you can be with stuff. I am flinging skinks around the board pretty liberally trying to cap objectives for a turn or two or block up an enemy unit. 10 skinks for 6 is soooo good. The board control nuts.

I’ve been working on some conversions lately and I recently finished a prototype for a Razordon conversion. Not a new idea, but pretty simple and cheaper than the current $30.00 finecast model. Check it out and let me know if it helped/inspired you to convert your own.
