I remember as a kid being told by my dad to watch out for the transformer for (something, don't remember what) as there was a lot of electricity going through it. It greatly perplexed me as to why a) it never seemed to turn into anything and b) why my dad was holding out on me with a transformer I'd never seen before.
There's a part of me that just wants to say the top row of Megatron, Starscream & Shockwave. All of them are powerful but have BIG personalities/egos. Starscream would probably try a betrayal and mess up everything. List 1 $5 Megatron $4 Soundwave $2 Ravage $2 Laserbeak $1 Buzzsaw $1 Rumble Hmm... I went a little too heavy into the "cassette" Decepticons, but picking Soundwave is a must because he's one of my favorites. The cassettes aren't necessarily the strongest, but with enough of them, they can be very versatile. List 2 $5 Megatron $4 Soundwave $3 Thundercraker $2 Laserbeak or Ravage $1 Rumble or Buzzsaw Okay, apparently I have to take Megatron and Soundwave. Although Thundercraker (the blue jet) isn't the toughest Decepticon, he's affordable for some air power. Laserbeak and Ravage are pretty tough, stealthy and reliable; either would be an asset. Buzzsaw might make a acceptable replacement for Laserbeak and Rumble is a wildcard but useful.
It would seem we think alike - my choices would be Megatron, Soundwave, Thundercracker, Ravage and Buzzsaw! Megatron and Soundwave provide a strong leader and a loyal and capable lieutenant. Thundercracker is a very skilled aerial warrior, although I admit it’s not the main reason I’m taking him... And Ravage and Buzzsaw are my two favourite cassettes.
Good times! That’s a great Thundercracker image. I guess I’m more of a Skywarp fan, but that’s just because he’s the Decepticon jet I had as a kid.
US continuity. I am a child of North America! My only experience with Transformers was watching the old school cartoon back in the day. I also watched the live action movies, but I'm not at all a fan of those.
I don't know, there were certain parts of first Michael Bay movie that I liked. At the beginning, when the helicopter Decepticon (Blackout) shows up at the military base, there is a great battle. At that point, I thought the movie was going to be great. It went downhill after that for me. But, there are parts of the final battle that are at least watchable (if you can figure out which robot is which).
