This is the same for me: watching the TV series on Saturday mornings, watched the cartoon movie and watched the first three live-action movies but got a bit bored with them. Had a mahrlect-load of transformers toys when I was a kid. Fantastic stuff.
I enjoyed the first movie a lot. The second less, the third even less and I couldn't bring myself to watch the rest.
For the most part I would agree with everyone that the live action Transformers films are utter rubbish, however, there is one aspect of them (alongside the fact that they bring in millions for other Transformers stuff) that is up there with the best... You don’t happen to know what it’s called do you?
Be gentle... I may have misduplicated whether it is new or not... It's on Netflix and is called Transformers: War for Cybertron.
Phew! Somehow 9 times out of 10 I get it wrong and someone corrects me that what I just said was actually released in 1973 or something ridiculous.
