"The scaled hide of the cold ones gives +2bonus to the rider´s saving throw instead of the normal +1 save given to cavalry models"

The rule is under Cold One Cavalry page 46.

But that applys for ScarVets on them as well, right ?
 
yea they give the armor save to their riders.
 
Its essentially the same as having barding, but it doesn't reduce movement.

The movement reduction is built in with base M7, actually.
 
So ScarVets will be 1+ armor save with cold one, armor and shield vs shooting?

Yeah, its really easy to get a ScarVet/Oldblood down to a 1+ armour save, I was actually fooling around with Army Builder the other day and got an Oldblood down to a -1+ armour save even though by rules its impossible.
