AoS Thoughts on potential new codex for Seraphon 2020?

our battle tome was released on the 18 of February 2015 so it will be 5 years in 2 months and if they are waiting to release our stuff just to release on the 5 year anniversary im going to find whoever made that idea and punch them in the dick

I still think it would be nice to have feral versions of the dinos. Like how FEC has theirs

Correct year. Wrong month . Let's hope they don't go for a 5th anniversary release as I think our book came november/December 2015. Could not have been Feb as AOS wasn't a thing til the summer of that year

ok i was going off of lexicanium.com just remember our rule book came out before first edition did so we could have hit before the summer release

Edit: nope you where right i was looking at the editing log here is the corect release date 11/07/2015

Viable in a competitive sense? Probably not.
Viable as a fun theme army to play now and again? Yes. They got Updated warscrolls, a spell lore that is basically Aqshy spells, but always usable, some Command Traits, Artefacts and Battle Traits. So you could totally play them in V.2 and be adequate.

Edit- Points updates, battalions, and 15 warscrolls total. That's pretty hefty rules support for a faction that doesn't exist.

All the Old World armies that had their model lines discontinued did get updated warscrolls though and are available in the App or online.
 
So with High-Elves apparently next on the AOS release after the Tzeentch /KO updates, are we hoping for Seraphon following High Elves? We could be looking at Q2 /Q3 at that point then. And just to chime in, I'm thinking new book with just a few updated models. To me, Seraphon are sorely lacking in named characters. So a named leader on foot, who will probably replace one of the Sunblood /Oldblood warscrolls. I think they also need to replace the Razordon /Salamanders kits. So maybe 2 new models. 2 endless spells and a small scenery piece (an idol of some sort, or a celestial energy crystal) would do well. For spells, I see a snake swarm as an obvious bet, and a lizardy version of a giant jaws.
