8th Ed. To start my army

finally, after months, i'm going to start my army
i'm going to buy an only-assembled army from an ex player. I'll have: 1 stegadon with engine of the gods, one saurus lord (on foot i think), 40 saurus warriors, 10 saurus on cold ones, 20 temple guards, 20 skinks, 1 salamander and 2 razordons (and in friendly games i'll use them all like salamanders )
the price is fantastic, but i know that i'll have to add so many other things. However, the price is fantastic as I already said, so I'll buy it. Do you think it's a good start?

If you have the bits and the EOTG isn't glued on you can use magnets to switch the Stegadon into different modes. If not no big deal.

I get some more Skinks, then paint some of them to be Chameleon Skinks. If your opponents are not picky, just use Skinks as blowpipe Skirmishers/Javelin Skirmishers/Cohort Skinks/Chamo Skinks as the situation calls for it.

While boosting up your Skinks you want to get some Kroxigor (mainly for Skroxigor, sometimes for plain Kroxigor units). I'd recommend giving these guys a look in lieu of the GW Kroxigor. They were designed by one of our forum members here:

Maybe some Terradons. A Slann would be good (they are the most powerful thing in our army book), and with a Slann a few more Temple Guard. A Skink priest or two would be nice.

my opponents will be some friends of mine, and we all are going to prox in some way so there aren't problems
i'll have to add lots of things: the slann will be one of the first, then a skink priest, and then lots of skinks. Yes, i'd like to have kroxigors too (only for skroxi, though). i think i'll convert chameleon skinks from normal ones, and i'd like to have terradons too, but they can wait
