I go away and find that this thread has sprung up? It's like a present to me! :D

Nice work, guys. If people like miniatures that inspire ancient egypt, check out Wargods of Aegyptus. The book is gorgeous, and the minis are pretty cool. The game feels like it's dead though, as I've not heard of anyone who wants to play it in a long time. :/

I actually picked up a couple of items from their range. A scorpion shield a couple of sarcophagi, an obelisk and an ark. :) Good stuff.

They started to release some really cool units towards the end, but then they just stopped. It's a shame, because the units were amazing! The Skyhawks and Necropolis Guard minis are gorgeous!

I have a thing for ancient Egypt. :) I got to write up a small section on an Egyptian themed setting for Mechas and Monsters last year.

They definitely had some neat stuff, it's a shame they aren't producing more.

Oh! And if it hasn't been mentioned yet, the Amonkhet art book for Magic the Gathering and the free Dungeons and Dragons 5E pdf for it are wonderful sources of inspiration and feature beautiful artwork. :D https://media.wizards.com/2017/downloads/magic/plane-shift_amonkhet.pdf

Thanks! That's a great resource. :)

I was! I was Rhamsu-Seker, but I didn't post much and mostly lurked. :)

Admittedly there aren't a lot of posts on there as of late. Traffic on the forum is all but gone; great legacy resources though. It is a shame that the photobucket issue has resulted in a great deal of lost images.

@Killer Angel from our forum is probably one of the most active members over there.

Wargods has awesome stuff. I need to get more of it, but it's relatively expensive.

Feel free to post that in the fluff forum.

I'd love to, but it's in the book, so I can't duplicate it outside of the book. But it was a pretty cool setting! Essentially a world where ancient egypt was more technologically advanced and they fought their wars through giant robots called Monoliths that fought other temple cities and the Kaiju minions of Apophis which crept out of the shadowy wastes in the center of the desert (which was actually hinted at being something older and more familiar to our world) :)
