It seems like they made it into a general charge assist although it seems to be not super likely to go off.
I'd avoid balance suggestions at this point. We don't have enough data to decide, which units are really bad or good. For example, the more I look at guard, the more I like it. Also, there's almost no point to look into narrative description and compare it to the stats. Why, for example, old EotG had less rend of horns then Stegadon? No answer. They just tested it and decided, that it is better this way.
don't forget that his points may also reflect that he is a board wide range for arcane vassal. I personally think hes only a little overcosted. if I had to bet id say he would drop to 220
You're probably right that Arcane Vassal is the reason for its high price, and there's a fair chance it could do with a point cost reduction. It does have great potential though. Imagine a game where a Troglodon gets close to the enemy front line and delivers three salvos of Celestial Deliverance while Kroak sits safe on the other side of the board, summons two endless spells right in the heart of their army, and then finally spits at and charges a key target. It would probably be a strong contender for MvP of that game with a little luck with the dice. Off course that is not very likely to happen often, so pricing it based on its average performance would be better. It is certainly not worth 25 conjuration points at the very least.
Ah, damn. Guess it'll be one endless spell and Comet's Call then, but I can't really give the honor of the damage that one would inflict to the Troglodon.
I've had the Trog be MVP a few times before the update. Always performing above expectations. Killed Archeon a few weeks back in a tourney. Was absolutely dumbfounding for the both of us. His coat still feels too high at 260. Perhaps when points are modified he will get a reduction. As it stands, he just doesn't seem to have a place besides an extremely costly spell platform. I think we've honestly covered most of the FAQs that are truly FAQs, and will just have to wait now.
Sorry, I meant the two week book faqs. Cant remember the last time they drastically changed a unit in one of those
The fist part of BWV is unclear. You can cast BWV from inside the garrison. If you read the warcroll of BWV you place it next to your model then put your model on top. So you would put it next to the terrain and put your wizard on top.
Doing some digging and army list building, and found that there's an issue with Sylvaneth Wizards that never got completely FAQd/Cleared up. Verdant Blessing is a spell that all Sylvaneth know, but isn't part of their spell lore, nor is it considered part of their Allegiance. So do Sylvaneth that are Allies get this spell? It was added to my FAQ que and sent off today. But it was something to think about. It could make my Green Menace lists even more threatening.
