Hey everyone!

I am in desperate need for help in tjis one.

I would like to do a pond (water effect ) in the basing of my minis such that the watter covers up to the waist of my miniature. I have done a few tests but I keep having problems, therefore I was hopping you could point me in the right direction on how to do this correctly.

the two big problems I have are the following:
1. I cant seem to find a good way to make the limits on the base so that you can pour in the resin. I have tried using tape arrownd the edges of the base and even doing a balsa frame but it doesnt seem to work well for me.

2. What tipe of resin do I need to use, i tried the one In the atacched in the picture and it disolved both my miniature and my base.

I have looked for tutorials but have found very few and very bad ones, if you guys know of any it would be of the greatest help.

Thanks a lot!

In terms of pouring I'm not sure maybe build it a basing that can easily be filled away or cut off after? I'm not sure sorry

You can use this effect without the sand, not sure how well the hot glue will hold the resin in, but worth a shot.

For problem number 1, use four pieces of plasticard (supposing it´s a square base) cut to shape (the fitter the better) and then attached them to the base and to each other with some insulating tape. If it is round then do the same but with a very thin piece of plasticard rolled around the base. It is also important to change your water so it doesn´t melt the plastic. I think woodland scenics´realistic water will work well enough

Woodland scenic relistic water is what i use, pour it in layers allow each one to dry before doing the next, for splash, drips etc use woodland scenic water effects.

I watched this video the other day -
