Amazing! I love your basing skills.
It makes up quite a lot of the vibe of a model.

Thank you! I've improved immensely from when I first started painting up 40k minis over 10 years ago. I have Vince Venturella to thank, whose hobby cheating videos really helped me kickstart my Seraphon.

Whew, finally all done my first three aggradons. This took quite a while, though I suppose I did take several breaks between painting sessions along the way. And I have 9 more to paint...

Starting a large project and getting my Oracle on Troglodon underway. I've got it assembled and primed, but first was to finish the base which was also a huge undertaking. I was ecstatic to find tiny frogs on the Kroxigor sprues! With the addition of a few 3D printed parts, I'm extremely happy with how this base has turned out. Too bad I didn't have this finished up for the lustria terrain painting competition a few months ago ;)

That looks poisonous as hell! I love it.

Glued the trog to the base before finishing the edge highlights as I don't want to be handling the mini and accidentally wiping off the paint on the pointy bits. The end is in sight though!

Finally all finished. A huge milestone and an incredible centerpiece for my army so far!

As I said earlier, the trog itself is painted after a Gila monster:

While the skink I decided to paint with a leopard gecko in mind. This Oracle in particular I've named after a beloved lizardfolk NPC in my most recent DnD campaign, Keck. Here's my reference photo:

Great work man! It looks amazing.

Amazing bases and I truly truly LOVE the troglodon .) An awesome scheme! Damn, now I am considering that as well..

How did you manage to get such a vibrant yellow (orange)? I always struggle with that colour. Bought it on 3 separate occasions (2 from GW and one from Valejo) and it is too "sticky" all the time - it has a very strange consistancy, doesn't cover anything and I can't seem to be able to thin it with water/any other medium to an acceptable smoothness.

Thanks a bunch! The orange is GW's Fire Dragon Bright. I made the unfortunate mistake of priming the model black, so I needed to do 5-8 coats of orange (thinned with water) cover it well enough to not see the black underneath. I also put on a pretty heavy wash of Fuegan Orange before putting yet another coat of Fire Dragon Bright on. The edge highlight was a 1:1 mix of the same orange and Pallid Wych Flesh.

Just a simple basecoat with the primary colours blocked out on my next aggradon. Nothing fancy yet. I don't know whether I'm looking forward or dreading having to paint another 6 after these ones... o_o
