Thanks all! I have a few more minis to share completed in January, chiefly these two remotes that I converted to look like scorpions: Trying out a new background... almost looks like they are on Mars! I thought the picture was going to look more brown, but now that it is printed I kinda like it. Also quickly painted up these three turrets, which have already come in handy and can be used in games of Infinity. Of course now that I post the turrets I realize I forgot to finish painting the base rims
Nice work man, I spotted them on Instagram already. I love the clean painting in sections. EXTERMINATE!!! Grrr, !mrahil
Thanks! I also have these six dudes ready to go as well, finished up just before the remotes I believe. They are size Govad infantry troopers, which I will also be using as brawler mercenaries. In this case the matte varnish worked a bit too well, and took out all the metallic sheen to their weapons! These last two are the same mini I bought twice, but changed out the heavy machine gun for an option for a second rifle trooper.
Something a bit more different and a bit more... root vegetable! Here are some minis I converted and put together for Turnip28, and as a Frostgrave warband. Most of these minis are from A Song of Ice and Fire, many heads replaced , roots added to bases, etc. All still WIP. Enjoying the process of these minis immensely. About half of them have their brown wash and need some highlights to add color back in. Coming up with funny heads was... fun! A bunch of these leftover dudes are Frostgrave minis, which are way stubbier and shorter than the ASOIAF minis but will do as far as Turnip's aesthetics are concerned. This next dude is in my opinion one of the coolest conversions so far: And these last two will be my Frostgrave Hedge Wizard and his apprentice to help make extra potions on the battlefield!
Two Infinity Ninjas complete to add to my mercenary company. Planning to use at least one of them in the tournament I am playing in this weekend. Second infinity tournament I have played in so far... here's to me hoping I actually win a game this time! Thanks! Nearly finished with the lot, but the first half of them have turned out great so far
I agree, they are some older models but are pretty dynamic. I decided to give them a new coat of varnish because they came out too glossy! I also finished a set of Digger proxies out of the Wu Ming box! These are some of the coolest minis in all of Infinity in my opinion. Their heads are a bit big, but I love how well they were sculpted. Spoiler: Wu Ming/Diggers Very happy with this batch of minis. I am all set for the next infinity tournament tomorrow! Here are two of my fireteams ready to take the field: Looking forward to having Wolverine take the field again!
I finished four new Infinity models recently for an Infinity campaign (think Necromunda/Mordheim campaign system... but for Infinity minis/universe). This campaign gave me a great excuse to paint up a few more X-men Nomads! Spoiler: few moar photos Bishop: Cable: Colossus: and Rogue!
Finished a fifth member of my Infinity mercenaries squad, so now I have a full nine X-Men Nomads! Spoiler: Maverick Maverick is a bit of an obscure pick, he was a member of the Weapon X program with Wolverine. Reality is I really didn't like the Haqqislam Asawira model, but I had an opportunity to use this model for the infinity mercenaries campaign. Chopped off his head and replaced it with a Cawdor head from Necromunda (shaved the nose down first), added some milliput hair and some guitar wires and I am calling him done. One more aside note, using black construction paper REALLY washed out some of my previous pictures. Going to need to get some better floors/items for these minis to sit on for future pictures. Or in the infinity minis cases just use the buildings I have on hand.
I have played a few more games of Infinity since March, and I have a few more minis to show off too! Some Aleph Minis: Ekdromoi, Pandora, and an Agema marksman. In particular I enjoyed how the sniper turned out. On the Haqqislam front I finished my first TAG, the Shakush, pictured here next to an Al Fasid (previously the largest infinity mini of the bunch) and the super-soldier Tarik Mansuri: Tarik got a quick re-pose, because during games it was impossible for him to line up with walls and get cover on his left side. Not a problem anymore as his sword no longer overhangs his base: Very happy with the Shakush, I enjoyed painting the Ramah Task Force on his shoulder. Spoiler: More Shakush pics The TAG reminds me of Zakus from the Gundam franchise. I think I will paint at least one more of these dudes.
Thanks guys! I (finally) finished the Hoplite from the Aleph starter: Makes me think of stormtroopers, but more Illiad-ish.
