True... except perhaps at really high "doses". Still much more healthy than crack though.
I wasn't referring to you or I. I'm talking about the type of guy at the game store that has forgone any semblance of bathing or hygiene. The type of guy that is utter girl repellent. The type of guy that gives the rest of us and our hobby a bad rap. The "neckbeard". There are many more descriptors that I could list, but I'm sure at some point you've run into "that guy", and you could easily identify him. Whilst not exclusively tied to Warhammer, they tend to turn up far more frequently in geek culture (warhammer, larp, comics, etc.) than they do in the wild. Admittedly with geek culture becoming mainstream their numbers are far more diluted than they were in the past, but they are still intermixed in the community at greater numbers as compared to society at large.I think about Warhammer pretty much all the time, and it's never done me any damage![]()
This seems very true. It is so multifaceted, combing artistic, reading, mathematical and strategic/logical elements.Except for one thing... Warhammer (and wargaming in general) is healthy for your mind.
Plus teaching color theory, painting, various crafting and stylistic patterns, creative thinking for coming up with paint schemes and basing ideas, army themes, etc...This seems very true. It is so multifaceted, combing artistic, reading, mathematical and strategic/logical elements.
