You hit the nail on the head. That was the true insight. Despite facing their hard counter, a true worst case scenario, the Trolls still finished above two (out of three) of their competitors.

I've gone through quite a few units and now I plan to tackle some of the units from The BEST close combat units in all of Warhammer contest. I might even pit the units against an unbreakable character (maybe a DP or Ungrim), just to see how they perform relative to one another. After that I'll probably pit our four contestants against each other to finish things off.

Can you guys think of any really glaring omissions? Someone that should be tested against?

 

Where is good old @Lizards of Renown when I need him? Our fallen friend.

 

I can't think of a unit that might be fitting in with these fights, sorry.
I am curious though how all will hold against the Best Close Combat units.
