AoS Ways to increase rend?

Hey everyone!

Excuse me for being a noob but is anyone aware of ANY ways to increase rend for units in our armies? I want to give my Dread Saurian his decent rend back:(

Unfortunately not.
Heroes can use an artefact, but that's pretty much it.
 
would have been nice if the claws spell had increased rend instead of giving us ANOTHER reroll to hit ability....

We can always hope that if a Battletome isn’t imminent, there’s enough of a gap that they revamp the spell lore... it is a bit ‘meh’, given what Slann are meant to be capable of.

Yeah indeed.
Rend, additional attacks, chance for mortal wounds, or even rerolling wound rolls would be most welcome for a change.

7 is the average value of 2d6, and Seraphon have relatively easy access to a +1 to cast rolls.
I wouldn't call that very difficult, the chance is around 50% then. Especially if you consider that the spell has a decent chance to make decent damage, at least against every unit with more than 10 models if it hits.
It has to be harder to cast than arcane bolt or similar ones, and even very easy to cast spells have 5 or so.

Not sure right now if there is one with casting value of four. The majority of spells is between 5 and 7.

Given that the spells cannot be used against characters but can be devastating against hordes I would put it at 7, but 8 is not the end of the world.

i would agree if it worn't for other spells that do the same thing all casting on a 7

doesn't curse of fates have a CV of 4?

Yep, there are indeed a few spells that have a CV of 4. Curse of Fates is one of them, and the webspinner shaman of the Gloomspite Gitz also has a spell that has a CV of 4 (speed of the spider god). Same goes for the Bone Spirit spell of the Maniak Weirdnob (Bonesplitterz).
 
IIRC there is a spell that can give rend... but you need to play with the realms' spells.

Edit: probably not. The one i've had in mind just increases the damage dealt by melee weapons. :(

IDK.
They are a very peculiar thing... maybe i could think to a selection of the 2-3 most useful ones for each realm.
