I finally started working on a model of Boudicca, this one being the pewter model sold by Warlord Games.

The chariot alone has so far been done with Aggaros Dunes and Blood Angels Red over Grey Seer.

I finished reading all Short Stories in the running contest. Also I painted a little bit on my Ardboys.

    Grrr, Imrahil

Nice work so far, does she have WAB rules then, or are you using her as a generic British leader?

Unfortunately WHAB has no such rules for Boudicca insofar as I know. Until I know for certain, I'm merely running her as a high chieftain on chariot.

I was just asking because if WAB did have rules for her I was wondering if it had rules for Caratacus as well, but no matter. Generic chieftains mean they can be whoever you want them to be, whether Boudicca, Caratacus or whoever!

Yeah, I have no idea. With WHAB being a formation game first and foremost, there isn't a whole lot of emphasis on lords and heroes.

A shame really given how fun Warhammer Fantasy heroes are to play with, but there are other games that allow you to use named historical characters, like SPQR, so the potential hasn’t been lost completely.

Building some Dark Elves at the moment, more Corsairs and a Kharibdyss built. Need to go build the chariot next.
Will eventually post the Dire Wolves as they were completed a few days ago.
Need to also still build a lot more of the backlog, the Lumineth boxset is one. I'm not fast enough but then I do other things also so it's just trying to find the balance.

Building boats for Black Seas. As of the time I took the photo, I've built 4 brigs, 3 5th Rates (frigates), and 2 3rd Rates.

Oh man those admech look fun!

I bought some of the pteraxii wings recently for an orky conversion, but I am really excited by that admech flyer. Hope to get one at some point... looking forward to seeing yours painted! :wideyed::artist:

So, my brother found an estate sale where they were selling some warhammer stuff. He found a big box of old school lizardmen stuff for sale for 80 bucks.

    Saurus.jpg

He grabbed it for me, and this is what was inside:

50 plastic saurus - clubs and shields
    25 metal saurus with spears
    2 metal serpent swarms
98 plastic skinks with bows (3 are metal)
    32 metal skinks with javelins
    6 metal kroxigor
1.5 metal salamanders (one is missing his leg/tail)
    4 metal terradons
    9 metal saurus guard

All told, I basically got 75 more saurus and 130 more skinks plus a bunch of other goodies for the price of a start collecting box. I am so damn excited and so overwhelmed. I have no idea how I am going to paint all of these guys. I also am going to need to order a few hundred new bases.

As I'm still powering through building up to my goal of 90 saurus warriors for my collection, I also need to rectify the fact that a lot of my Seraphon collection is still "50 shades of grey plastic", so I also went ahead and started doing an Aqshy priming spree*.

    20200820_182543.jpg

*Mephiston Red/Dragon Red [Army Painter] -> Zandri Dust (pre-shade) -> Wraithbone (zenithal highlight)

As of this photo, I still have two Bloodbowl Chameleon Skinks, the Dread Saurian, and the Slann himself in the process of being primed in this manner as well, though I will need to run to GW tomorrow to pick up some more Zandri Dust before I continue.

Weather pending, my plan for tomorrow is to use the airbrush to go over each model with the shading inks: saurus with Fuegan Orange, skinks and carnosaur with Seraphim Sepia, and kroxigors and razordon with Agrax Earthshade.

Was a bit worried yesterday due to rain, but it eventually cleared up enough for me to power through with the airbrush.

    20200822_043017.jpg

Due to a little mishap during priming, the slann now looks like he's got quite the gash across his right brow. I'm honestly considering playing into this at a later time, considering he already has a grimacing facial appearance that suggests he's more than a little angry.

    20200822_043026.jpg

My second block of 30 saurus is coming along, having now built and base-coated 20 of them for a quasi builder's league game this afternoon (600pts). Where my first block of 30 have red shields, the second block will have blue. Still undecided if I should go with yellow or green for the third block.

    20200822_043036.jpg

Not much to say on the kroxigors or the razordon. They at the very least polished off what was left of a pot of Agrax Earthshade.

    20200822_043046.jpg

The Dread Saurian was the only model out of the bunch that didn't get airbrushed this session. Part of it is because I'm not sure which shading ink I should use for the base layer. My initial thoughts were Carroburg Red, but now I'm leaning more towards going with Fuegan Orange.

    20200822_043054.jpg

I also finally got my order of 15 Ver'bombers from Black Tree Design, after nearly 9 months of limbo. Nice simple 1-piece pewter figurines that I've already based and primed black for future use as Eshin'd Skryre Acolytes for my skaven collection.
