I did but more because he held back waiting for ambushing units while I was able to hold back and counter attack. My wild riders were unable to do anything until the final turn due to lore of beasts shenanigans. My treeman also was a champion, for once, and crushed several unit's by himself. Normally My luck with treemen is them dying by turn two or three, this was amazing. The thing that helped me the most was that he didn't have enough magic missiles, his spells were mostly buffs and that didn't matter most of the time. He had a staff, I think, that fired multiple dice of damage if it went off and it decimated my archers and took two wounds off my alter Lord. Great game and I went against my normal list with tons of wrhawk riders amd cavalry. Was strange being so slow and having the beatstick treeman. His dice also were hot the first three turns but then deserted him after that when it actually mattered. I really love the terrain rules in 6th/7th edition and blocking line of sight with trees that also slowed him down made the battle for more fair than it looked like before the game.Thumbs way, way up to see a 7th Edition game being played... who won?
I have nothing against Wood Elves, but as a Beastlord myself I will seek to avenge any slight against the Cloven Ones![]()
