What are you doing today hobbywise?

Still plugging away at building Xiaphas Jurr for Horus Heresy, with particular focus on his forearms.

A while back, I had removed the forearms off of the base Chaplain Xavier model so as to get rid of the "leather glove" gauntlets the original model had in favour of something more befitting a wearer of artificer armour, specifically the forearms from Mk III parts. His right arm, originally wielding Xavier's hammer, is now successfully holding Jurr's master-crafted power maul, itself made out of clipped parts of a Stormcast greatmace. His left arm, which will be his storm shield arm, is unfortunately not cooperating even with the pinning I've had to do, as the superglue I've been using elsewhere on the model has decided to cure extra slowly there.

Also, unless I can somehow find an independent supplier of drakescale storm shields from the firedrakes kit, I'll probably be using a saurus shield to represent that piece of wargear considering how may I have access to thanks to my Seraphon army.

Beyond that, my aim for this week is to get two more reaver titans built for Adeptus Titanicus. As a bit of a diversion, I had also gotten started on a showpiece model featuring a tau ghostkeel suit wielding a broadside's twin-linked railgun.

Just finished up painting one of my Seraphon Cold Ones, basing it. Now waiting to dry

Pic's will follow

Working on some fluff for the Lizardmen that hid in a tomb, sorted the Old World stuff where they hid during a battle because a Skink leader said so. Empire waking them up when they went to loot their tombs. It's just onto sorting out their AoS version, how they survived the End Times.
Thinking of putting them in the realm of Ghur, maybe in the more colder regions of that realm.

Been painting(base layer and first highlight) of mounted Scar-Veteran.

Another cross-post:
One reaver built, one more to go. My first melee/close range reaver, this one will be painted up as Legio Xestobiax' Septum Caelestis Ues.

Painting Slann Starmaster. So many vines around his 'throne'!

Messing around with the spares today and building some Clanrats. Going to be interesting doing a build out of spares, the torso and maybe the legs will be the hard part.

Touched up the most unsightly gaps on the land raider for my Salamanders army before going to town with the spray paint, first with a full coat of black primer and then a "dusted" layer of Caliban Green from a 45-degree angle for pre-shading.

I still have to assemble the cupola with a pintle-mounted multi-melta, but for transportation purposes I'll be keeping it separate from the rest of the model.

I visited the GW store nearby work. Gave some Saurus Warriors a base layer and gave some edge highlights to my Scar Vet.

Also bought a new project ;)
later more

Gotta have fun with your models sometimes, even if they're still being built and painted.

Speaking of, I finished mounting all of the armour plating on my two warlord titans for AT, and not a moment to spare on the black primer before pre-shading with Leadbelcher.

Both models took part in a couple of games over the past weekend in their unarmoured state, to which one of my fellow AT players jokingly referred to them as being from Legio Anorexio due to how skinny they looked. Also seen was another warlord by someone who's just gotten started with their own models; he intended to pose the model in a straight-legged standing position, but because he propped the model against an object that moved overnight and didn't give much forethought into building the legs from the feet up instead of from the hips down, the model now looks like it's giving its best Rose impression on the bow of the Titanic.

Currently making bases for an order. Once done I'm probably going to start painting some more blood letters for this massive commission

With the MkIII backpacks finally in, I was able to finish building my vanguard veterans. All that's left for them is paint.

I also built the Horus Heresy pintle mounts I will be running on the 3 rhinos I brought up in an earlier post - one twin-linked bolter, one pintle-mounted multi-melta. I've had to make some... productive purchases just to get enough pintle-mounted storm bolters for how I intent to run them in 40k, resulting in me now having a vindicator (waiting to be painted) and placing an order for a land raider redeemer yesterday.

Making a mini list of what to buy when I get to my local GW, which could be Thursday depending on how I am feeling.
Still have resin and metal kits left, these are mostly the bigger ones like the mounted units. Got some Bloodletters to build, Seraphon kits and Night Runners. There is also still some half built stuff like Thanquol
Also got some Slaanesh to build but I'm sitting on the fence about them.
Need some more glue so that is on the list, hopefully going to the store will help give that spark for painting again.

I worked on my Carnosaur. Slooooowly getting there.

Started painting my trog. It will take me about a week.
After him, only 2 carnos left to paint (and random bits like Ark of Sotek or something from the Stegadon kit)
