What are you doing today hobbywise?

Still painting the Bastiladon, just need to paint the crew, ark, some snakes and the do the base and it's done. Went with the same piercing blue gaze as my Carnosaur has. Got an idea for the colour scheme for the final group of Lizardmen/Seraphon, might write a short story piece for their entrance.

Finished my High Elf Spearmen and friends a couple of days ago (in my blog!), so now working on some modular movement trays in preparation for a game of 8th Edition with High Elves vs Lizardmen 1500 pts.

Going off to pick up a SINDRI miniature from my local GW. Apart from Dawn of War and the ensuing memes, I have a small amount of nostalgia for the Chaos Sorcerer model itself.

I wrote the 13,000th word of my new Seraphon story today.
I might start releasing the first two chapters soon-ish, or finish the story first. I am not sure.

All my day I've been smoothing,
All these frickin' mouldly lines oh man,
All my day I've been polishing,
It’s not okay I don’t feel sane

I don't feel sane
Ohhh..

Gotten started on painting up Kroq-Gar on foot, starting off with Wraithbone primer.

The skin was done with a layer of Apothecary White, followed by Gryph-Charger Grey, and then given a wash of Drakenhof Nightshade.

Why did you prime your miniature handler though? ;)
Laziness for the most part. I didn't want to wait for one coat on one side of the model to dry before applying the next elsewhere. If it's any consolation, I masked my hand with a plastic bag while doing so.

Finished more of Kroq-Gar, now including his ornamental plating and the Hand of the Gods. All of the gold was first done using Gold Leaf (Tamiya) as a base, followed by a wash of Agrax Earthshade and then highlighted with Titanium Gold (also Tamiya), and all of the cords binding everything together were done using a single coat of Blood Angels Red.

While painting I accidentally dropped the model and broke off the Revered Spear of Tlanxla where he's gripping it, so I'll be having to do some pinning in the near future.

After a quick trip to the local non-GW hobby shop to grab the drill bit I need, I successfully pinned the Spear and finished painting it.

All that's left is the base.

...I am working on something silly for my all-Grot Ork army. Perhaps I will post pics later tonight if all goes well with the conversions...

Looking for someone to stop me from buying 200€ worth of Gloomspite Gitz.

Look what arrived for me in the post today :joyful: @NIGHTBRINGER @Killer Angel @Lord-Marcus

Spotted it on the Oxfam Online shop for a mere £10 with free shipping on the Bank Holiday, and snapped it up like a shot. Very good condition with only a couple of very small scuffs on the cover (one of which I suspect was caused by our bald ignorant midget of a postman who tried to shove it through our letterbox and only succeeded in ripping the packaging off, eventually giving up and putting it under our doormat - luckily, because it was a hardback, the book survived pretty much intact, but if it had been the paperback 6th Edition book I dread what could have happened to it), and for £10 for charity, it’s an utter bargain.

It will make a fine addition to my collection, and I’m certainly looking forward to reading it in detail!
