My roommate made me 7-layer bars for my birthday, and bought me a fabulous Cuban frita sandwich for dinner. Not pictured: the freshly baked roasted garlic loaf I had for breakfast, which my roommate also made last night. Coffee accompanied said bread.
My roommate made thanksgiving dinner for us and my parents. Turkey with optional gravy, dressing (stuffing), green bean casserole, candied yams (half with brown sugar, half with marshmallows, for those with preference) crescent rolls and cranberry sauce. Not to mention handmade personal-sized cherry pies and 7 layer bars for dessert. And I'm building miniatures. It's been a good Thanksgiving.
Made french toast today for late brunch using cinnamon breakfast that my brother got from our local Aldi.
Made cheesy bread bits tonight, along with roasting the majority of 4 bulbs of garlic. Picture of garlic when done.
Experiments in corn muffins. Part 1. The large two in the final third have garlic and cheese mixed in. Specifically roasted garlic. The top two for the remaining are playing and the bottom two have garlic mixed in.
I guess not. Roommate and I are making Christmas dinner and such. Tonight was meatball prep night (twice baked Italian meatballs) in addition to bread. Oh and more 7 layer bars. The bread has 3 heads of roasted garlic mixed in.
I have one. Pan baked rice cookies. Made from left over rice, an egg and a little milk. Mix it all together and create little pancakes. Lovely with some strawberry jelly. Grrr, !mrahil
Christmas dinner. Spaghetti and twice baked Italian meatballs. Fresh mozz. Fresh made garlic loaf with Italian herbs and butter sauce .
Chicken fajitas/tacos tonight. Seasoned the chicken with a Mexican spice blend, garlic and onion powder, and then cooked it in the same pan that had just caramelized an onion for 45 minutes. All on store bought tortillas as I had not the time to attempt making my own nor do I have a press. Came out pretty good.
I pan seared and grilled rack of lamb last night. My brother didn't want any, so it's been my dinner yesterday and today. I seasoned it with rosemary, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper. Had steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes last night as sides. No sides tonight. And I dunno about anyone else but if I'm eating rack of lamb on my own, I end up straight out cave manning it, eating it as a hand held food.
