Seems like it's been forever since I said I finished my basing. My gf lost her camara charger. It is a nice camara i got her for our vegas trip. :( It's a camara for her graphics design class so it has all the bells and whistles too. Less than a year old too. I sure hope she finds it.

None the less I broke down and used one of my dad's camaras. And honestly, the pictures came out better I think. It's a big DSLR camara so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. But it has a manual focus and shutter speed. So I am surprised I didn't make a mess of the picture since I have no idea how to use the camara Properly.

So here they are! my updated whole completed army picture! And my new and improved Skink Chief base, including 5 peice aquarium plant! :)

Everything I've done so far. 1 chief and 29 skinks.

The back view. I wanted to show his completed crest. Since it was still orange originally.

Well, just picking form the stuff that I actually have painted, leaving out stuff that I've sculpted and which is still "green", the piece that I think I am proudest of is my Skaven "tandem bicycle" Doomflayer:

From my Lizardman army I think I have yet to top my Salamander color scheme. Honestly, the last game I played I found myself very distracted by his colors and unable to concentrate on my strategy at one point :)

Hopefully the next one will come out just as nice...

Wow both the Skaven model and the salamander look amazing! Great work. I really like the base and colour choice for the salamander.

Pretty cool looking Skaven doomflayer tandem bike. Who would have thought. I believe it looks more realistic than the model GW makes. The salamander is a great color scheme too. I am sure your enemy is doing the same thing when he/she is playing against you.

Thanks guys :) I need to get some jungle foliage to add to that sallie's base. Still searching pet shop aquarium aisles for the right stuff.

Might check out the florist type isles as well. ;)
Sometimes they have something in the right scale too.

Wow! I love the bike. I kinda obsess over converstions. Looks pretty awesome. And your sallie base is to par with the paint job. Did you have to convert the legs to get the sucker up there?

I didn't really convert the legs, but I did use putty to make the attachment to the rock look seamless. If you are familiar with the old metal Salamanders, each foot was actually cast on a sort of platform, and if you didn't cover this up with flock or whatever, it ended up looking like this:

    Salamanderplatformedfeet.jpg

I covered up these little platform shoes with putty, blending it up from the rock to the heels and toes (and in between each toe) and then texturing it so that when painted it just looks like mine is sitting directly on the rock.

Honestly I struggle to think of what model or unit I'm most proud of simply because I'm always getting better. I really feel like every regiment I paint is better than the last and every character/monster I paint is better than the last.

I would probably have to say that my favorite miniature I've done is my Nakai the Wanderer conversion that I made way back in November, but never got to post it because I didn't (and still don't) have a decent digital camera. However, this thread has made me want to finally post it up again, so if all goes well, I'll put him up relatively soon.

They remind me of Mad Max and the thunder dome!

I hope my army turns out the same way. I'm still really new so so far that has been true for me too. Post your most recent.

    Conversion!? I'm intrested.
